Our Web interface allows you to manage all possible entities in the system including CDRs, reporting, billing, routing, sytem configuration and others. It was developed using the most poweful and flexible web frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and Active Admin . We’ve tried to make it as easy to use as possible and welcome you to confirm it at our YETI demo web interface.
CDR data format has high importance, it is valuable in resolving conflicts between partners and helps in protocols debugging. We have tried to provide all the necessary data in CDR to give you much information as possible on the one hand, and made it easy to use on the other hand. By default YETI stores CDR record for each rerouting attempt, but you can disable storing CDR for unauthorized calls , flexible settings allow you to setup behaviour for each disconnect reason. It is possible to emulate route procedure for each CDR, that makes it easier to debug a call flow. You can also get pcap dump for any CDR if logging is turned on.
To improve compatibility with other equipments, YETI provides an opportunity to change the disconnect reason between call legs
Import Data Wizard allows to easily update billing information & routing configuration in the case of large data capacity. Flexible settings allow you to not only import the new data , but also to update existing records.
At the same time all data changes made with importing are tracked with our audit/versioning system, as well as all normal data modifications are.
All import procedures are performed in asynchronous way as background tasks , it allows a user to continue to work with the system while processing import is performed. Multithreaded implementation significantly accelerates import time, while flexibility can significantly reduce the time spent on routine operation with price lists.
To automate processing of various formats price lists (very often each vendor uses its own special price lists format) we support data preprocessing scripts. You can develop your own scripts to modify imported data using python,perl,php or any other language. So import was made to reduce as much as possible the routine work of the operator.
We gives you full data auditing and versioning, allow you to see how data looked at any stage in its lifecycle and find out who is responsible for a change.
To simplify system usage, YETI provides an opportunity to turn debugging on and receive Pcap dump for any call via web interface. So there is no need to provide your staff with an SSH access to switch servers . There is also a call emulation mode, which allows you to reproduce a routing procedure for an emulated call and get debugging information.
The main purpose of YETI is to be a tool for flexible routing control of VOIP traffic. We support LCR (Least Cost Routing) and quality control for each route. Also we've developed some non-standard routing modes. To implement the longest prefix match algorithm we used special types of PostgreSQL index, it is possible to achieve high performance routing and minimize PDD (Post Dial Delay). YETI is designed to work with millions of routes and performs this task successfully.
Another advantage of our system is usage of postgresql streaming replication for routing data propagation to remote Point Of Presense (POP). As a result calls are processed by YETI even when the connection to the POP is lost. Also YETI SEMS module was designed to support backups of data sources, this ensures the highest level of reliability.
There was a problem automatically applying the necessary changes for the YETI SBC nodes after the configuration changes in the database without node restart. To solve this we implemented set of xmlrpc commands which force to reload configuration for each subsystem of node. Also we use queuee for events which need to be processed.
Billing procedures are performed during CDR recording, this approach minimizes delays and increases billing reliability. Database failover increases reliability of CDR recording, it is also possible to record data files, if there is no connection to any of the databases.
Reporting tools make it possible to monitor the system and find problems by analyzing large amount of CDR records. Currently we are developing reporting tools and adding new features for better billing control and quality of routes.
Invoice generation allows you to automate your settlements with contractors. Currently invoices generation tools are implemented in its basic level. We're working to expand functionality, and we are planning to implement documents generation in the near future.
